Boko Haram kill one of Chibok girls' father in fresh attack on Kubumbalah village

altBOKO Haram has murdered the farther of one of the abducted Government Girls Secondary School Chibok pupils in an attack on the village of Kubumbalah in Borno State earlier this week.

 

In its latest act of brutality, Boko Haram attacked Kubumbalah, near Chibok during which they murdered Lalai Nkeki, the father of Kauna, one of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls. Hosea Tsambido, the chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja, said that Nkeki was killed on Monday when insurgents attacked some villages in Borno State, killing at least eight other people and hoisting their flag.

 

Mr Tsambido said: "Kauna’s father, Nkeki, was killed in an attack at Kubumbalah, near Chibok two days ago by Boko Haram. Kauna is one of the Chibok girls."

 

However, the Nigerian Army has countered the report that some persons were killed in the attack. Of late, Boko Haram has stepped up attacks across the northeast but the federal government insists that the sect has been technically defeated.
