Arguably many celebrity marriages in Nigeria are expected to wither and die months or a few years after the knot is tied but a few Nigerian celebrities have however managed to keep their head above water as they struggle to keep their relationships and career afloat.
Nigerian singer Muma Gee, is one of very few celebs who have the semblance of a sane relationship.
She and her fiancé Prince Oluebube
Eke got married in a widely publicized ceremony and have since been blessed with a set of twins – a boy and a girl christened Caesar and Cleopatra.
Commenting about the travails that plague celebrity marriages, the beautiful singer told NigeriaFilms, “Being a celebrity and marrying a
celebrity is a beautiful thing, but sweet and sour at the same time. Although it’s not unbearable, with patience and wisdom, you can bear the sour part of the marriage.”
Muma Gee who is running for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives, on the platform of the PDP, further disclosed, “It’s a unique thing to be married. Being in marriage is definitely different from the perceptive you used
to see it while a spinster. I’m not married to Prince Eke the actor, I’m married to Prince Eke the lovely man I met. What really matters is who
the person is, not what he is or his profession.”
Talking about the love they share, she added, “Our love wasn’t love at first sight. In fact there was no love in the first place. We just had to start up something that later grew. I’d say that it was a divine calling by God to be his wife more than just falling in love. But in all God has been faithful and keeps guiding us.”
