SUPER Eagles midfielder Mikel Obi has just become father to a set of twins after his Russian girlfriend Olga Allegra who he plans to marry soon delivered the duo yesterday in a private London clinic.
Olga, the daughter of a Russian business tycoon, is said to have moved in with Mikel and has even started mastering the art of cooking Nigerian dishes, making great Nigerian dishes including jollof rice, pounded yam and fufu. When not working as a model, Olga is often seen by Mikel's side at matches as she regularly accompanies him to Stamford Bridge.
Delighted at the birth, Mikel took to Twitter to express his delight. He said: "My whole world in my arms Welcome to the world my angels #pooh3 #pooh4 #twins.”
His reference to them as #pooh3 and #pooh4 is believed to be in response to the fact that Mikel has reportedly fathered two children with two different women in London. He apparently spends a significant amount of money paying for their upkeep although he is not living with either of the women.
According to recent reports, Mikel has a four-year-old son who was born after he had a brief fling with the lad’s mum. He also has a one-year-old daughter by a woman he met in a nightclub two years ago that resulted in a pregnancy.
Source close to the Chelsea player say Mikel bought a £500,000 house for the mother of his son, gives her several thousand pounds a year and buys her a new car every three years. As per the mother of his daughter, who he met in a trendy London nightclub in 2013 and had a short relationship with, Mikel provides for the child but is said to want no contact with the woman.
Mikel, 28, who has a lavish home in Oxshott, Surrey, has played more than 300 times for Chelsea since joining the club in 2006. He has recently been recalled to the Super Eagles' squad after missing the last two games and is expected to feature in Nigeria's friendlies against Cameroon and Congo in Belgium next month.
