Golden Eaglet striker Osimhen to decide on either Arsenal or Wolfsburg come January

altGOLDEN Eaglets striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he will decide in January whether to sign for English Premiership side Arsenal or opt for Bundesliga giants Wolfsburg who are also keen on signing him.

Crowned the top scorer at the recently-concluded U17 World Cup in Chile, Osimhen broke all existing records when he finished the tournament with 190 goals, scoring in every match. He also picked up the silver ball, having been adjudged the tournament's second best player behind compatriot Kelechi Nwakali

Since his heroics in Chile, Osimhen has been highly sought after by a plethora of clubs but he has decided to narrow his options down to Wolfsburg and Arsenal. Osimhen and his entourage are currently in Germany where the youngster has had a chance to visit the club’s facilities and surroundings.

Gafaar Liameed, a member of Osimhen's entourage, said: “We have received many offers for Victor but we have been able to narrow these to two Wolfsburg and Arsenal. Both clubs have their advantages and by January we hope to take a final decision because we all want a good start for him in Europe.”

Mr Liameed, who has worked on various top transfers including Imoh Ezekiel's move to Belgium and Junior Ajayi's transfer to Tunisia, said, that Osimhen will not sign any formal contract until he turns 18 next year. A big fan of former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, Osimhen said he has tried to model his game on that of the Frenchman.
