SUPER Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has been named as the English Premier League Player of the Month for December 2015 following a prolific month during which he scored in six successive games.
Currently one of the hottest properties in English football at the moment, Ighalo is the second highest scorer in the Premier league with 14 goals. He had a phenomenal December during which he gave defences a torrid time, finding the back of the net in every game he played during the month.
Ighalo, 26-year-old scored five times during December, including a double against Anfield giants Liverpool as his humble Watford thrashed the historic club 3-0 at Vicarage Road. Watford is currently 10th on the table with 29 points from 21 games and their next league match is against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Monday.
Quique Sanchez Flores, the Watford head coach was named Manager of the Month for December after the Hornets picked up 10 points from five matches over the festive period. Despite only being promoted last season, Watford has managed to show they can cope with the big boys in the Premiership.
