Nigeria will lock horns with Egypt at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Friday in the first leg of a two-match tie and on the 29th, the second leg will take place in Alexandra. Moses, is one of several players who have arrived in Nigeria for the game and at a Globacom event in Lagos, he said the players will play as one united team with the determination to win and make Nigeria proud.
Moses added: “The Egyptians are leading the group currently but we will work hard to pick the three points in Kaduna and go for a win or draw in the return leg in Cairo. This will make it easy for us to qualify from the group.
"The current Super Eagles comprise both experienced and upcoming players. I am optimistic that we will blend and play to win under the guidance of our coaches; so there is no cause for alarm.”
In addition, Moses also dispelled rumours that the recent change in the coaching crew will affect the team. He added that the invitation of upcoming players to the team was a good things as the mixture of young and experienced players will make it stronger.
“We will help the new boys to settle down quickly and give them confidence to excel in the national team colours. Other countries like Spain and England are also doing it to strengthen their teams and Nigeria is not an exception, so it will give the coaches more talents to utilise as they try to build a winning squad,” Moses added.
Among those who have arrived for the game are Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi, Arsenal's Alex Iwobi and Efe Ambrose who plays for Celtic of Scotland. Others who have also arrived include Shehu Abdullahi, Aminu Umar, Ike Ezenwa and Etebo Oghenekaro.
