Fight breaks out in Ondo State APC as Niger Delta minister and party chair exchange blows

PANDEMONIUM broke out at a recent meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC ) in Ondo State leading to a punch-up between the state party chairman Hon Isaac Kekemeke and the minister of state for Niger Delta Affairs Professor Cladius Daramola.

Resulting in a brawl, forcing party members present to separate the duo the fracas is certain to increase friction within the APC in the state. Their fight took place at Senator Tayo Alasoadura’s residence in Akure, over the weekend during the minister’s condolence visit to the senator who recently lost his wife.

After what was perceived to be an insult in a remark made against the minister, his personal assistant Nathaniel Adojutelegan, reacted against the public embarrassment meted to his boss by the state chairman. This resulted in their supporters going for one another’s throat and the situation then further degenerated to into fisticuffs but was promptly checked by the security operatives present.

Hon Kekemenke's personal assistants Dolapo Malumi and Ayo Wisdom, said the minister’s aides insulted the chairman by pushing him on the chest, adding that the party will suspend him from the APC. Mr Adojutelegan, however,  refuted the claim that he pushed the state chairman on the chest, saying, it is a blatant lie.
