Mama G drags son to court over Igbo tradition that allows him to claim his father's property

altNOLLYWOOD actress Patience Ozokwor popularly known as Mama G has reported dragged her son Chuka to court to stop him from claiming his father’s inheritance in line with the Igbo tradition that enables the first male offspring to do so.

According to new reports, trouble started when against his will, Mama G forced one lady named Ada on Chuka. Apparently, the Nollywood icon made Chuka dump his former girlfriend, Joy who Mama G said was not good for him.

When Mama G felt Ada was growing wings, she then called Chuka and asked him to end his relationship with her, leading to him standing up to his mother. This led to a tug of war between mother and son as Mama G was bent on getting her way.

Matter was said to become worse when Mama G realised that Ada was pregnant for Chuka and threatened to deal with her but both lovebirds defied her by going to court to marry. Mama G was then said to have taken the matter to some family members but lost the argument as they sided with her son.

Things then got sour when Chuka tried to claim his late father's property and the matter ended up in court. Apparently, Mama G lost the first round of the case in the customary court some weeks ago where she sought an injunction to deny Chuka from claiming some of his father’s properties as the first son.

Mama G’s husband died some years ago. He second and favourite son, Nduka is set to wed later this month and she has sworn to make it one of the biggest in town.
