Ahmed Musa to arrive in Leicester today for a medical and to sign four year contract

altSUPER Eagles vice captain Ahmed Musa will arrive in England today for a medical with English Premiership champions  Leicester City ahead of a planned $21m transfer from Russian club CSKA Moscow.

Musa, 23, currently has a $32.5m (£22.8m) buyout clause in his CSKA contract, which runs until 2019, meaning that any club which bids for this amount can have him. In January, Leicester put in a £15.1m bid for Musa but it was rejected by the Russian club who were holding out for their full evaluation of the player.

Now, Leicester has returned with a fresh bid aimed at securing the winger's services ahead of the commencement of the forthcoming season. Musa is expected in the city today to undergo his medical and sign a formal four year contract with the Foxes.

CSKA coach Leonid Slutsky, said the player, who joined the club in 2012 and has scored 53 goals in 161 games is now on his way out. He added that if anyone looks at the way things are done in the Premiership, they will see that Musa is a player just made for English football.
