Naija grooves will be rocking London this weekend – from the West End to the Olympic Park.
Wakaa! the musical opened at the Shaw Theatre, Euston Road, last night (Thursday) and received a deserved standing ovation. This show has everything you would expect of a musical in London's west end; big production numbers, big production values, a bravura cast and brilliant script.
It is the first ever London transfer for a Naija musical and arrives in the capital courtesy of a sell-out run in Lagos. Through the journey of four graduates, Wakaa looks at big issues like corruption and the brain drain and ultimately delivers a message of hope amid fantastic song and dance routines and much hilarity. The cast is universally excellent.
Buy a ticket while you can (seats from £22). If you miss this show you'll regret it bitterly and it pulls out of London on Monday. Visit http://ift.tt/1Jh7k4a or Ticketmaster http://bit.ly/2a1BtGU
