Boxer sent to jail for cutting off wife's lover's penis and flushing it down the toilet

FORMER boxer Ikki Kotsugai has been sentenced to prison for four-and-a-half years for cutting off his wife's lover's penis with a pair of garden shears and flushing them down the toilet.

 

In a high bizarre case, Mr Kotsugai, 25, carried out the vicious attack in August 2015 when he burst into the office of a lawyer who had an affair with his wife. An ex Japanese boxer and law student, Mr Kotsugai became enraged after mistakenly believing his wife had been forced to sleep with her boss at a legal firm.

 

However, it later turned out that the affair was consensual and at the trial, which took place at the Tokyo District Court, this was revealed in court. Apparently, Mr Kotsugai’s wife had falsely told him that she was forced to have sex with the lawyer.

 

However, the fact that it was consensual and Mr Kotsugai was misled had an effect on the sentencing the judge handed out to him. Mr Kotsugai has since apologised to the victim, who also apologised for having the affair with his wife.

 

Presiding judge Kazunori Karei, said: “An irreparable injury has been sustained. This crime is extremely dangerous and vicious."
