Pastor charged with child abuse after fleeing to Haiti upon impregnating 10 year old girl

FLORIDA clergyman Pastor Raymond Vincent has been arrested by US marshals in Haiti and returned to face sex and child abuse charges after he impregnated a 10 year old girl who attended his church.

 

Pastor Vincent, 46, is a youth clergyman who used to live in Fort Lauderdale and was accused of molesting the girl after offered her food to lure her into his apartment. When the 10-year-old girl ended up in the hospital at the Broward Health Medical Center, with stomach pains, doctors learnt she was pregnant.

 

Following the discovery earlier this year, Pastor Vincent fled to Haiti but US marshals tracked him to the capital Port-au-Prince. They then went there and arrested him and flew him back to the US and turned him over to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.

 

A Broward County judge denied his bond in court Saturday morning. On Friday, Pastor Vincent faced one count of sexual battery of a child and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct.

 

However, the authorities believe he could have abused other children during his time as a youth pastor in South Florida. Police were asking anyone with information to call Detective Elijah Thomas at 001 954-828-6093.
