Moses gets on the scoresheet as Chelsea hammer Burnley 3-0 at Stamford Bridge

altSUPER Eagles winger Victor Moses got on the scoresheet for his club Chelsea yesterday scoring the third goal in the Blues' 3-0 demolition of new boys Burnley yesterday in the last league game before the international break.

 

Moses, who now heads off to Nigeria where he will feature for the Super Eagles in next weekend's African Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania in Uyo, got on the scoresheet in the 89th minute. Having come on in the 77th minute for William, Moses scored his second goal in a week, after his strike against Bristol Rovers in the League Cup.

 

Now back at his parent club after spending the last three campaigns out on loan to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United, Moses, 25 is hoping to make an impact at Stamford Bridge this season. He was once touted as the next big thing but is yet to live up to his billing since joining the club.

 

New Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has included Moses among his list of 25 invitees for the September 3 African Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania. Although just a formality as Nigeria can no longer qualify for the tournament, the match will be Mr Rohr's first game in charge of the team and he will hooping to use it as a platform on which to build the 2018 World Cup qualification campaign.
