Boko Haram publishes Sallah video in which it promises to capture the infidel Buhari

altTERRORIST sect Boko Haram has published a new video believed to have been recorded during the recent Eid al-Adha Sallah celebrations in which it threatens to capture President Muhammadu Buhari soon.

Over the last year, the Nigerian military has gained significant success in its fight against the terrorists, recapturing most of the territory it held. However,  Boko Haram hardliners still remain in certain pockets of Borno State in northeastern Nigeria and the sect is still holding on to the over 200 girls it captured from Government Girls Secondary School Chibok in April 2014.

Despite military claims that the sect has been defeated, Boko Haram regularly published Youtube videos in which it boats about still being active. In its latest message thought to have been recorded somewhere in Borno State, the sect said it was plotting to capture President Buhari.

In the video, Boko Haram said: “This is our eid prayer from us and by the support of our leader Imam Abubakar Al-Shekau. We are extending our greetings to our people and fighters. Message to the infidels and the leader of the entire infidels who is the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, that he should know we are very strong and doing very good."

Among other things, the video showed suspected terrorists praying on what the narrator said is an Eid ground on Sallah day. Boko Haram said it was using it to send out message that it remained a strong force.

Sheikh Abubakar Shekau, Boko Haram's leader did not appear in the video but the narrator said his deputy, whose name was not mentioned, represented him at the gathering. In the video, Boko Haram called President Buhari an infidel and threatened to capture him and stated its willingness to continue its jihad against the Nigerian state.
