MEN of the Nasarawa State Police Command have arrested two men for murdering their biological mothers in what appeared to be ugly family feuds that went horrible wrong and resulted in deaths.
In the first instance, 25-year-old Oyin Osaba has been apprehended for murder after he killed his 75-year-old mother following a disagreement in Amba village. Mr Asaba apparently murdered his mother Mrs Diji Osaba, at the village in Kokona Local Government Area of the state after an altercation.
While parading the suspect in Lafia, the Nasarawa State police commissioner Abubakar Bello, said the command also apprehended another suspect, Adamu Iyanga, for allegedly killing his biological mother, 55-year-old Mrs Hajara Iyanga. It is now expected that both of the accused will be charged.
Mr Bello added: “The suspect, who followed his mother to fetch firewood, hit her with a machete and ran away but he was later arrested. He confessed to the crime.”
